HER is a social networking application for lesbians. It was launched in September 2013 by Robyn Exton as Dattch, originally in the UK, and subsequently in San Francisco, USA.[1] There are procedures to weed out applications from men, who may to try to infiltrate the system in the hope of meeting women.[2]The name Dattch, standing for "date catch", was abandoned in March 2015 in favour of Her, as part of a general re-launch.[3]
