Wessex was a kingdom in Anglo-Saxon times, with its capital at Winchester. The name has been revived at various times, for instance in the novels of Thomas Hardy, to refer to an area covering much of central Southern England.LGBT history
Bi Wessex is a bi-friendly social group covering Hampshire and surrounding counties, with events mainly in Winchester.[1]
