Ken Plummer (born Kenneth John Plummer in 1946[1]) was a sociologist, specialising in lesbian and gay studies. He worked at Essex University from 1975, retiring in 2006 because of ill-health.[2] He edited the journal Sexualities.[3]He was listed under "Lifetime achievement award" in the Pink List 2011. He died in November 2022 aged 76.
