Jeff Evans (born 1959) is an historian, and academic lead for LGBT History Month.He was born in Bolton[1] and brought up in Chequerbent. Having left school with no qualifications he worked as a joiner, before taking a part-time degree at Salford University. He was active in gay rights from an early age, and literary editor of the northern gay magazine Seen Out.[1]
He lives in Manchester and Hanover, and co-ordinated the LGBT History Festival in February 2015.[2]
