The origins of the Project date to 2007, when a group of LGB individuals met to discuss setting up a new LGB youth group after the closure of [[Stand Out]] (an LGB youth group which had been running since 1997). The new youth Norwich Area LGB Youth Group opened in 2007 and was renamed [[BLAH]]. The Norfolk LGBT Project was registered as a charity in 2009.
