Frock Magazine (styled Frock) was a British digital magazine aimed at the transgender and drag communities. First published in June 2009 by The Gender Society and edited by Katie Glover, it ran for around eight years, until mid-2017, publishing more than forty issues.[1]

Overview

Frock was a glossy, bi-monthly digital publication carrying drag- and transgender-related articles, features and stories, with content aimed at crossdressers, transvestites, transsexuals, transgender people, drag artistes and intersex people. It described itself as reaching readers around the world, and claimed at its height to have a larger readership than any other transgender-related magazine.[2] The magazine was recognised as "Best Niche Magazine" and "Best Digital Magazine" in several years.[1]

Katie Glover and "LGB without T"

The magazine's editor, Katie Glover, a transgender woman, became more widely known in September 2015 for an article in The Independent arguing that the "T" should be considered separately from the "LGB" – a piece that gave prominence to the LGB without T debate.[3]
