A nail-maker's workshop in Joseph Street

Belper is a town in the Amber Valley district of Derbyshire. It was traditionally a manufacturing town, specialising in nail-making and later textiles.

LGBT history

The writer Narvel Annable lives in Belper.

In 2024 Belper Pride refused to allow a stand by the LGB Alliance who subsequently published a statement highlighting aspects of the event [1]
