Monument commemorating the Rhondda mining communities

Rhondda is a former coal-mining area of South Wales, previously a local government district, but now part of Rhondda Cynon Taf.

LGBT history

The historian Jeffrey Weeks was born there in 1945.

Chris Bryant is MP for Rhondda. in 2019 an event called Rhondda Pride was planned to take place in Treorchy.
