Mile End is a district in Tower Hamlets, East London, previously in the borough of Stepney. King Richard II met the leaders of the Peasants Revolt there in 1381.

LGBT history

The East London branch of the Metropolitan Community Church originally met at St Benet's Chapel.[1]
