Runnymede is a local government district and borough in Surrey, named after the historic water meadow by the Thames where King John signed Magna Carta in 1215. Towns in the district include Chertsey, Egham, and Virginia Water. Local landmarks include Royal Holloway College.

LGBT history

Gerald Schlesinger and Christopher Tunnard lived together in an unusual circular house in Chertsey.
