Yemisi Ilesanmi is a human rights activist, an author, a poet and "sometimes moonlights as a plus size model".[1]

She was born in Lagos, Nigeria, studied law at Obafemi Awolowo University, and qualified as a Nigerian barrister.[2] By her late 20s she had come to the realization that she was bisexual.[3] She studied at Keele University, and now resides in the UK. She coordinates the group "Nigerian LGBTIs in Diaspora Against Anti Same-Sex Laws".[4] She is the author of Freedom to love all: Homosexuality is not Un-African.[5]

In March 2014 she became a Patron of the Pink Triangle Trust.[6]
