Eddie Surman

The Eddie Surman Trust, also known as is a support group for HIV positive young people and runs the Positiveline telephone helpline.

It was created in 1996 by Peter Shapcott in memory of his partner Eddie Surman who committed suicide because he could not face a life living with HIV. Positiveline was born after merging with the Body Positive helpline. All the volunteers are themselves HIV positive.[1]
