Location of North Tyneside within Tyne and Wear

North Tyneside is a metropolitan borough in Tyne and Wear. It includes the towns of Wallsend, North Shields and Whitley Bay.

LGBT history

Neil Tennant of the Pet Shop Boys was born in North Shields.
