Bingham Cup
The Bingham Cup, officially the Mark Kendall Bingham Memorial Tournament is an international gay rugby union tournament, held every two years since 2002.
The cup was inaugurated by the International Gay Rugby Association and Board (IGRAB) following an informal tournament in Washington DC in May 2001. It commemorates Mark Kendall Bingham, a gay American businessman who played for the gay rugby team the San Francisco Fog. He was a victim of the 9/11 attacks in 2011 and is thought to have been one of the passengers who attempted to regain control of United Airlines Flight 93 from the hijackers.
