Stephen Bourne (born 1957) is a gay writer and historian.

He was born in Camberwell and brought up in Peckham, leaving school with no qualifications.[1]

He is the author of [Brief Encounters: Lesbians and Gays in British Cinema]].[2]

In 2013 he was nominated for a blue plaque in the London Borough of Southwark.[3]
