Swale is a local government district in Kent, formed in 1974 and named after the channel that divides the Isle of Sheppey from the mainland of Kent. It includes the towns of Sheerness and Queenborough on the Isle of Sheppey, and Sittingbourne and Faversham on the mainland.

Acceptance is a group for parents of gay children, based in Sheerness.
