Camberwell is a district within the London Borough of Southwark. The centre of Camberwell is home to King's College Hospital and the Maudsley (psychiatric) Hospital.

The Union Tavern in Camberwell New Road was a gay pub in the 1970s.[1]

The Gay Camberwell website lists local LGBT facilities, but the website has not been updated since November 2011,[2]

Until 2009, Gay London Swimmers held weekly gay nude swimming sessions at Camberwell Leisure Centre.
