Drag Queen Story Time (DQST) is a Bristol-based organisation that arranges readings by drag queens for local schools, children and hosiptals. It was inspired by a similar project in the United States. The performances have aroused a lot of controversy with some saying they sexualise young children [1].
"The aim of DQST is to capture the imagination and fun of the gender fluidity of childhood, while giving children a glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role model."[2]
