The Royal Borough of Greenwich is an inner London Borough in south-east London, originally in Kent. It was formed in 1965 (as the London Borough of Greenwich) by merging the former metropolitan borough of Greenwich with most of Woolwich. It became a Royal Borough in 2012 to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
