Tyneside CHE Group was a CHE group based in Tyneside.

Tape/slide kit

In 1978 the group produced a tape/slide kit entitled Homosexuality – A fact of life, for use in schools. It portrayed two teenagers, Dave and Jane, becoming aware of their sexuality.[1]

Showing of the kit in schools was banned by Newcastle council[2] and a move to buy it for County Durham schools was turned down by the Area Health Authority.[3]
