North Lanarkshire Heritage Centre

Motherwell is a town in North Lanarkshire. It was formerly a steel manufacturing town, noted for the Ravenscraig steelworks, which closed in 1992.

LGBT history

Baroness Barker was educated at Dalziel High School, Motherwell.[1]

Damian Barr grew up in Newarthill, near Motherwell.
