Warrington is a town and unitary authority in Cheshire, on the banks of the River Mersey. It was originally in Lancashire. It was designated a new town in 1968, since when its population has more than doubled.
LGBT history
There was a gay club in Great Sankey in the early 19th century.
LGBT Warrington opened on 7 July 2011.[1]
The first Warrington Pride was held in September 2012.[2]
