The September Group was a group for older gay men. It was founded by Rabbi Lionel Blue and originally met in Islington under the name "Rose Rimpel"[1] and later taken over by Sharley Maclean. For many years it met at the Unitarian Hall, Palace Gardens Terrace, Notting Hill. For the last 15 years of its life it was run by the actor Michael Danvers-Walker.[2]
