Dumfries is a market town and former royal burgh within the Dumfries and Galloway council area of Scotland. It is located near where the River Nith flows into the Solway Firth.
LGBT history
An new LGBT support centre was opened in Dumfries in 2017.[1]
The first Dumfries Pride was held in 2009. The second Dumfries Pride, organised by LGBT Plus, was held in September 2018.[2]
