Wayne Trakas-Lawlor, formerly Wayne Lawlor, born c. 1966 (aged 39 in January 2016)[1]) is a Labour politician and former trade union official. He is a "a Croydon boy born and bred"[1] and was elected to Croydon council in 2010 for South Norwood ward.[2]
He became Deputy Mayor of Croydon in 2015 and Croydon's first openly-gay Mayor in 2016.[1]
In 2018 he did not seek re-election to the Council as he and his husband were moving out of the area.[3]
