Interior of the Green Carnation

The Green Carnation was a bar in Greek Street, Soho, named after the green carnation buttonhole made famous by Oscar Wilde, whose image appeared on its website. It described itself as "Soho's Premier Cocktail Lounge / Late Night Venue.[1]

A reviewer commented that the Green Carnation had "a subtle rainbow motif woven into its logo, so could be labelled a "gay bar", but the crowd were very mixed."[2]

The venue closed in 2015. The owners said they intended to completely remodel the premises:

"After 10 successful years and several different guises we have decided to close the third chapter of its current incarnation aptly named Green Carnation to make way for an exciting new concept."[3]
