Newquay (Cornish: Tewynblustri[1]) is a town and fishing port in Cornwall.
LGBT history
In 2008 the local gay bar, the Queen Vic, closed down, allegedly as a result of homophobic culture in the town.[2]
Steve Gilbert was MP for St Austell and Newquay.
