Rochester Cathedral

Rochester is a former city in Medway, Kent. The City of Rochester was merged with Chatham in 1974; in 1998 it became part of the Medway unitary authority, but at this point the authorities neglected to renew the city status, which thus expired.

LGBT history

The Ship in Rochester High Street is said to be "the oldest and most established gay pub in Kent".[1]
