Bridgend (Welsh: Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr) is a town and local government area in south Wales within the preserved county of Mid Glamorgan.

ABFABB (A Brighter Future Altogether Benefiting Bridgend) is a local community based engagement project.

Brigend had a Conservative Member of Parliament from 2019-2024 who was elected as a man but declared themselves to be a transgender woman during parliament in March 2022 [2].
