Location of South Lakeland within Cumbria

South Lakeland is a local government district within Cumbria. It was created in 1974 from parts of Westmorland, Lancashire, and the West Riding of Yorkshire. The largest town is Kendal.

LGBT history

H Montgomery Hyde went to school in Sedbergh.

South Lakes Lesbian Group meet monthly for walks, outings and discos.[1]
