North Wales is the northern part of Wales. It is commonly recognised to have a character of its own, but there is no single definition of what constitutes North Wales. The North Wales Police area covers the preserved counties of Gwynedd and Clwyd, corresponding to the current local government areas of Anglesey, Conwy, Gwynedd, Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham.
LGBT history
