Charing Cross Hospital is a general teaching hospital in Hammersmith. It was founded in 1818 in central London as the West London Infirmary and Dispensary. It later moved to Villiers Street, near Charing Cross and then to The Strand, and was renamed Charing Cross Hospital. In 1973 it moved to its present site at Fulham Palace Road. It houses the Imperial College School of Medicine.
Gender Identity Clinic
The West London Gender Identity Clinic at Charing Cross Hospital (CX GIC), part of the West London Mental Health Trust (WLMHC), is the largest and oldest clinic of its type, dating back to 1966.[1]
