The memorial

The Alan Turing Memorial is situated in Sackville Gardens, Manchester. It depicts Alan Turing sitting on a bench and eating an apple. It was unveiled in 2001 by The Alan Turing Memorial Fund, which points out that not one major computer firm contributed funds.[1]
