The Thames and Abingdon Church spire

Abingdon, also known as Abingdon-on-Thames, is a town in the Vale of White Horse district of Oxfordshire. Prior to 1974 it was the county town of Berkshire.

LGBT history

The activist and former politician Robert Hayward went to Abingdon School.

Topaz is an LGBT youth group, meeting monthly in Abingon.[1]
