A J Ayer

A J Ayer (Sir Alfred Jules Ayer, pronounced like "air", 1910–1989) was a philosopher, and chairman of the Homosexual Law Reform Society.

He was educated at Eton (where he was very keen on games) and Christ Church, Oxford.
