Queer Notions, founded 1998, is a group run by and for LGB people in Merseyside to promote positive thinking about sexuality and mental health. There is a confidential drop-in once a week in Liverpool, and a 24-hour answerphone. The group is committed to campaigning for improved mental health care and actively challenges homophobia in the mental health system.
