The Sexual Offences (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 1983 was a law which decriminalised homosexual acts in private between men, in terms similar to what had been enacted for England and Wales in the Sexual Offences Act 1967 – for instance the age of consent was set at 21.
The law applied to the entire Bailiwick of Guernsey, including Alderney and Sark. Gay sex on Guersnsey-registered merchant ships between members of the crew remained illegal.
