St Albans is a cathedral city in Hertfordshire. Local attractions include the ruins of the Roman city of Verulamium.
LGBT history
The gay activist Peter Ashman was born in St Albans in 1950.
Jeffrey John was appointed Dean of St Albans in 2004.
