Pendle is a borough in Lancashire. It was created in 1974, joining together a number of local authorities including the boroughs of Nelson and Colne.
The area is noted for the Pendle witch trials in 1612.

Allan Horsfall was born in Laneshaw Bridge and educated in Nelson.
