LGBT Federation North East

The LGBT Federation North East, also known as The Fed, is a not-for-profit community focused organisation working to unite LGBT across the north east of England. It works with individuals, groups and organisations to develop self-sustaining activities that aim to change attitudes and behaviour towards LGBT people.[1]
The Fed:
- Develops working partnerships across the region
- Organises special interest groups and events
- Undertakes research which aims to affect policy
- Coordinates social activities and facilitates friendships
- Provides safe spaces for people to meet
- Publishes out northeast magazine.[1]
