DescriptionHighgate Hill - geograph.org.uk - 1318769.jpg
English: Highgate Hill A 271 bus pulls away from the lights at the junction with Hornsey Lane and Dartmouth Park Hill. The Old Crown stands on the corner of Hornsey Lane.
This is quite a steep hill and I'm usually grateful to find the lights in my favour when I drive up it. The steepness combined with the narrow streets through Highgate Village prompted the construction of the Archway Road through a deep cutting to ease travel north out of central London.
The bus is TP62, a Dennis Trident with Plaxton body.
