) is a Labour politician and former trade union official. He is a "a Croydon boy born and bred" and was elected to Croydon council in 2010 for South Norwood ward.
He became Deputy Mayor of Croydon in 2015 and Croydon's first openly-gay Mayor in 2016.
In 2018 he did not seek re-election to the Council as he and his husband were moving out of the area.
