Reading Gay Alliance was founded in October 1971 for students in Reading, Berkshire, initially as Reading Students CHE Group. It was recognised as a CHE group on December 1971. It was later opened to GLF members and others, and changed its name to Reading Gay Alliance in August 1972.[1]
