- Creating effective opportunities for our voices to be heard.
- Advocating safe, inclusive, peer-led, queer-positive spaces.
- Developing innovative projects, initiatives and resources.
QYLSE was founded by a collection of local gay youth groups that came together to form a regional network supporting the needs of local LGBT young people. Queer Youth London and South East was originally two local groups - Queer Youth Sussex (which met in Brighton) and Queer Youth London which merged to form one big super-regional group.
They meet once a month in London and are gradually expanding to ensure several meets a year in Hertfordshire as of 2011.
