Before joining the BBC, Josh Parry was a reporter for the Liverpool Echo, where he covered general news, crime, and celebrity gossip. He was awarded Young Journalist of the Year at the Regional Press Awards in 2017 for his undercover reporting on “gay conversion” therapies in Liverpool.
