'''''The Gay Gazette''''' was a free weekly newspaper published by [[Chronos Publishing]], aimed to mop up the market from the collapse of ''[[Capital Gay]]'' in 1995. Rather than buy the title, Chronos, who published ''[[Pink Paper]]'' and ''[[Boyz]]'' at the time, set up the ''Gay Gazette'' a week after the collapse of ''Capital Gay'', edited by [[Roger Goode]], who had been ''Capital Gay''’s most recent editor. It was designed by [[Jonathan Harbourne]]. ''The Pink Paper'' was seen as being a left-wing lesbian newspaper, whereas ''Capital Gay'' was quite often described as a right-wing male newspaper. ''The Gay Gazette'' was published for xx weeks before it was scrapped.
