Battle Abbey gatehouse
Battle is a town in the Rother district of East Sussex. It takes its name from the Battle of Hastings fought there in 1066, and Battle Abbey, founded on the site of the battlefield.

LGBT history

Greg Barker was MP for Bexhill and Battle from 2001 to 2015.

In September 2014, two teenagers were fined for attacking a gay man in Battle High Street.[1]
