Avon and Somerset Constabulary is a police force covering the former counties of Avon and Somerset. In today's local government terms it covers the ceremonial counties of Somerset (including North Somerset and Bath and North East Somerset) and Bristol, plus the unitary authority of South Gloucestershire.

In 2022 a survey revealed that 1 in 26 police officers in the Constabulary identified as gay or lesbian [1].
