Renée Vivien
Renée Vivien, born Pauline Mary Tarn (1877–1909) was a British poet who wrote in French.[1]

Born in London, she grew up in Paris and London, but moved to Paris and changed her name to Renée Vivien on inheriting a substantial fortune from her father. She had a long-term relationship with Natalie Barney, an American heiress known for her flamboyant lesbian lifestyle. Her poetry was much influenced by that of the ancient Greek woman poet Sappho. (See also Sappho.)
