Antrim and Newtownabbey (red)
Antrim and Newtownabbey is the provisional name of one of the new local government districts for Northern Ireland to come into use from 2015. It corresponds to two existing local government districts, the Borough of Antrim and the Borough of Newtownabbey. The main town is Antrim.

LGBT history

In 2014 a controversy arose in Newtownabbey, when a local Christian-owned bakery, Ashers Baking Company, refused to supply a cake featuring the Sesame Street puppets, Bert and Ernie, with a slogan supporting same-sex marriage.[1]
